about me

I have been the queen of crafting in my home for over 15 years, specializing in the art of 'trash to treasure'! I love to create over a wide spectrum. I love to cook and bake and have recently grown to love sewing and am working on the love of quilting. I have a personal belief that paint makes everything all better. If I'm having a bad day, I love to paint walls. If I'm having a good day, I paint everything else. Not that I'm grumpy, but my husband swears the walls of our home are closing in because of all the layers...

As well as a wife, I am a mom of two (usually) perfect teenage daughters. I have recently found myself needing to be home and available because of some special needs that our youngest daughter has and because of this, I have had a lot of fun getting acquainted with the blogging world. We have also recently become licensed foster care providers and are excited about the experiences we are having because of this opportunity.

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. You can find out more about my religion here or here.

by way of introduction:

Our Princess is an absolutely amazing young lady in every way.  She is very outgoing and social and smart and makes my life easy in so many ways.  She loves to be involved in my projects, and often has better ideas and solutions than I do! She texts me every day through school (shhhh!) and I love it. She is old enough that she is learning how to drive (not with me!) but still gets excited about the traditions we've kept since she was little.

My Angel.  That's exactly what she is, in a youngest child, pre-teen sort of way!  Born with an unknown type of CMD, she has fought hard her whole life to overcome limitations to make her way through the world.  And she definitely has, and continues to change the lives of those who have the opportunity to interact with her.  She has a passion for fashion and glitter in her veins.  This is her by the star that will one day hold her name...

Count Studley has been a very patient and helpful husband and father for a lot of years.  He can fix anything.  I'm not kidding. Anything.  Every woman needs one of him around the house.  He supplements my meager computer skills and is constantly working on projects that I take on, thinking I can do it without his help, but without fail, needing his help.  He is funny and a hard worker and supportive of my obsessions and I couldn't ask for a better man. Pretty sure he's a keeper...
