Today's musings are something that I have battled against my whole life. As Confucius says, "Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated." Ya, that's totally me. But I'd like to say, I'm winning the battle, because as the years go by, I see how the little changes I'm able to make are simplifying our life, which is good. Because I'm pretty sure that I can't keep up the pace I set for myself 15 years ago for the rest of my life...
The sculptor produces the beautiful statue by chipping away such parts of the marble block as are not needed – it is a process of elimination.

But part of the battle for me, is how much do I need to simplify to make life simple? Don't you think that if we take too much away, life has potential to become even more complicated?
