warm apple cider

Warm Apple Cider

2 64 oz bottles apple juice
6 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon whole allspice
1 tablespoon whole cloves
1/2 -2/3 cup brown sugar

In a big pot on the stove, combine juice and cinnamon sticks.  Lay out the allspice and cloves in the center of a small square of cheesecloth (5x5"-ish). Tie opposite diagonal corners together tight in the middle like a hobo bag and throw it in the pot.  Stir in the brown sugar according to preference.  Bring it to a boil then reduce and simmer for an hour. Its a win-win.  Your house will smell divine, your taste-buds will be in heaven, and it really doesn't take any effort at all!
